Our creations included the library, the post office, the school, the bank, the water tower, the creek, houses, a bridge, streets, and even cross walks. We have learned a great deal about our community and it's helpers.
Today we built our town! We used different kinds of blocks, Lincoln logs, and paper to create buildings and places in our town. We had to work together, talk it out, and try new ways when things didn't work the first time. We worked really hard to make our town of Southwest City.

We got to walk to town and visit two very special places. We went to the library and learned what librarians do. We even got to go behind the counter! Then we walked to the post office for a grand tour. Lynn the mail clerk told us all about her important job.
We want to say a big thank you to all of our community helpers that took time out of their busy day to teach us! We have been working hard in our math notebooks. We work together to learn our new skills, and then on the other side of our notebook, we show that we can do it by ourselves. We love making flip books and playing spin & graph games! Eliazar says his favorite thing is to color the pictures in his notebook. Maelee and Dawson like to trace and write their numbers. Erick really likes using the spinners. |
