Tying one's own shoe is a life skill that we encourage families to start working with their children by the time they reach kindergarten. This allows your child to become more self-sufficient and move them towards their independence. I have found a few videos to share with different strategies for teaching shoe tying.
Shoe tying may seem basic to us adults, but it is a coveted skill among kindergarteners. It also fits under our first Leader in Me habit: Proactive- "We are responsible for ourselves."
