We have spent the month of October learning about pumpkins. Since last week was a short week due to our fall break, we spent three days investigating pumpkins. We measured the height of our pumpkin, we compared pumpkins, counted lines on pumpkins, and even predicted if pumpkins float (we found out that they float!) After opening up the pumpkin to look, touch, and smell inside, we counted the seeds. We grouped them by groups of 10, and then by hundreds. We found out that there was 323 seeds inside of our pumpkin.

We went to the Gentry Safari today! We saw so many different animals. We saw lions, tigers, monkeys, bears, wolves, snakes, camels, turtles, giraffes, pigs, goats, donkeys, and more. This was a fabulous field trip. Mrs. Reece's kindergarten class wants to say thank you to the McDonald County School District for such a fun field trip. We also want to thank all of the parents that attended and helped our class. Sydney likes to read on her farm. Her bucket calf, Rose, likes to listen to stories. Sydney even reads horse books while riding on her horse, Thunder! We think these are cool places to read.
